Pucketts Mill Elementary School Expresses Imaging as ArtLawrenceville, Ga. – Gwinnett Medical Center held a grand opening for a state-of-the-art imaging center on Saturday, September 13th.. As part of the celebration, GMC partnered with Puckett’s Mill Elementary School in Hamilton Mill to hold an art contest. The winners were recognized at the event and received a Target gift card.
“The art contest was a way to involve the children of the community and showcase their art in the facility. Puckett’s Mill Elementary and art instructors were great to work with and had terrific ideas for the art projects. We have definitely had a warm welcome into the community,” says Adrienne Hollis, Gwinnett Medical Center, director of marketing and communications.
A total of 12 students, grades K5 to 5th grade, were recognized for their artwork in several different categories: Flowers, CT scan, colored instruments and squares, metal rubs of tools and optical illusions of instruments.
The winners are as follows: Ashlyn Buick and Mathew Stone (kindergarten), Sharon Zhang and Nathan Carlson (first grade), Ashley Lange and Dina Pasha (second grade), Holly Rager and Adriana Miller (third grade), Olivia Guerra and Tito Tomei (fourth grade) and Dalton Ragland and Caroline McCollum (fifth grade).
“A big thanks to Beau Pezoldt and Miria Caldwell, both PMES art teachers, who helped facilitate the project for the imaging center and the reason the contest was so successful,” says Amy Andolsek, PMES PTA representative and GMC imaging nurse manager.
